Show your support for Outdoor School! Join us for an “Outdoor School Celebration on the doorsteps of City Hall” Thursday May 10th @ 4:30 pm- Portland City Hall (outside on 4th Street) Come stand up for Outdoor School and show Portland what Outdoor School is all about! Join other students, teachers, and parents, as well as, elected and community leaders for a celebration of Outdoor School on the footsteps of City Hall. We'll give Portland and the local media an up close look at why Outdoor School is important including: - Outdoor School activity stations with pelts, wildlife tracks, plants to test your native plant ID skills; - Wood cookie name tag making; - Record you video message to the School Board on what Outdoor School means to you; - And .... the “Banana slug kissing booth” In addition to this fun, we will have some exciting new funding news to announce that should make it easier than ever for Portland schools to keep Outdoor School alive. Brings signs if you can but we’ll have some as well. This will also be a great time to meet up with other Outdoor School supporters planning to attend the rally and march opposing planned Portland School cuts on May 11th. Help get the word out about both events and forward this far and wide! Contact portlandersforODS@ymail.com with any questions and we hope to see you there!
